BUNCRANA PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 1836 - 1988

BUNCRANA CONGREGATION UNITES WITH STRAND

In the Strand Church report of 1988, the Clerk of Session, Mr. John Burnside wrote:-

"We have much pleasure in welcoming the members of Buncrana congregation into our midst as from 1st October last. After many years of worship and witness in Donegal, the congregation  decided that, due to dwindling membership, they would close their church building in Buncrana and worship in Strand. They have formed a union with Strand, though they still retain their identity as a congregation, and the new relationship is shown in the combined name of Strand and Buncrana Presbyterian Church.
We trust that they will enjoy our fellowship in Strand."
